Native Redis GUI · Rust + GPUI · Apache-2.0

Open a million-key database
without the spinner.

GPU-drawn UI and virtual-scrolled SCAN — browse huge keyspaces, decode real payloads, and stay safe on production. Not another Electron client.

macOS · Windows · Linux v0.13.0 8 UI languages No telemetry
Zedis key browser showing namespace tree and value editor

Built with the same GPUI stack as Zed — native speed, not a wrapped web app.

Already on Redis Insight, ARDM, or Tiny RDM? Paste an export (or Tiny RDM’s connections.yaml) — hosts, TLS, SSH, and groups land in one step. Secrets then live in Zedis’s per-machine encrypted store.

One minute to your real setup

Import connections → open a prod-tagged server read-only → see values that are actually decoded.

1

Migrate in

Redis Insight, Another Redis Desktop Manager, Tiny RDM, or a redis:// URI. Groups and tunnels carry over.

2

Stay safe on prod

Env tags, read-only lock, extra confirmation for destructive commands, encrypted secrets at rest — data stays on your machine, no telemetry.

3

See real values

JSON / JSONPath, Protobuf, MessagePack, Java / pickle / JWT, compression, images, hex — plus dedicated views for Streams, Pub/Sub, Geo, and more.

What you get

Just the highlights. The full tour is on GitHub.

🦀

Native & fast

Virtual-scrolled SCAN, million-key trees, light / dark / system plus 6 bundled themes — macOS, Windows, Linux.

🧠

Smart viewers

Auto-decompress LZ4/Snappy/GZIP/ZSTD. JSONPath, Protobuf, Java / pickle / JWT, timestamps, images, custom script viewers — inside Hash / List / Set / ZSet elements too.

📊

Observability

Live metrics + 7-day history with CSV export, memory analyzer (live or offline RDB) with a type / encoding breakdown, MEMORY & LATENCY DOCTOR, HOTKEYS, Slow Log, MONITOR, raw INFO, cluster and replication tools.

🔑

Keys & bulk ops

Namespace tree, tags, recycle bin, JSON tree editing, find & replace, export with a prefix filter (binary / JSON / CSV), cross-server copy & diff — one key or a whole prefix.

🔐

Privacy-first

Per-machine encrypted secrets, ACL editor, tags & history kept in a local file. No accounts, no telemetry.

🧭

Valkey & limited servers

Redis and Valkey are both first-class: features are enabled by each one’s own version, so no server is sent a command it doesn’t support. A check on connect greys out what proxies, ElastiCache / Azure / Tair or Dragonfly / KeyDB can’t run — with the reason — instead of erroring.

🔌

Connect anything

TLS/SSL, SSH tunnels, Cluster & Sentinel. Staged DNS → TCP → TLS → AUTH diagnostics, and a connection that reconnects on its own after a failover.

⌨️

Power-user UX

⌘K palette, ⌘P recent keys, ⌘⇧F multi-db search, a redis-cli terminal where ? asks an AI assistant, plus batch mode.

🕸️

In the browser too

The same app compiled to WebAssembly, self-hosted from one ~26 MB Docker image — host it next to your Redis and the whole team works from a tab. Its MCP server lets Claude Code or Cursor read your Redis — and only read — through a read-only account. Early preview.

Desktop app or browser tab

The UI and the Redis layer are one codebase. The desktop app compiles both into one program; in the browser, zedis-bridge only turns the page's HTTP calls into Redis commands.

Code-sharing diagram, not a deployment: the Zedis UI and the Redis layer are code compiled into more than one program, and neither runs as a service of its own. The desktop app is one native process holding both, and its UI calls the Redis layer in-process. In the web version the same UI runs as WebAssembly in a browser tab and calls zedis-bridge over an HTTP API; the bridge is a separate server process that turns those calls into Redis commands with the same Redis layer. The desktop app and the bridge each talk RESP to standalone, Sentinel and Cluster deployments of Redis and Valkey.

Install

Latest release v0.13.0 — package managers or binaries from GitHub Releases.

macOS

brew install --cask zedis

Or grab a .dmg (Apple Silicon / Intel) from Releases.

Windows

scoop bucket add extras && scoop install zedis

Or download .msi / .zip from Releases.

Linux

yay -S zedis-bin

That is Arch Linux (AUR). Elsewhere, use .deb / .rpm / AppImage / tarball from Releases (x86_64 and aarch64).

From source

cargo install --git https://github.com/vicanso/zedis --locked zedis-gui

This builds the current source. For the released version: cargo install --locked zedis-gui.

Browser (self-hosted)

docker run -p 7379:7379 -e ZEDIS_BRIDGE_USERS=admin@change-me -v zedis-data:/data vicanso/zedis-web:latest --listen 0.0.0.0:7379 --insecure-cookie

Open localhost:7379 and sign in as admin / change-me. Beyond a trial, drop --insecure-cookie and put HTTPS in front — see the Web version guide.
